Happy March, everyone!
It was a very busy week back from vacation!  Hopefully all the colds/viruses we had before break have gone away!

This week, we worked on place value, fact fluency, and persuasive writing.  We read books about the 100th Day of School, which was Monday, and are gearing up for Read Across America Day on Monday with a focus on Diversity!  We'll also start learning more about weather and the water cycle.

The link to sign up for parent-teacher conferences is live: https://www.ptcfast.com/parent_registration1.php?cids%5B%5D=25481

If your child has an IEP meeting in March, it can be used as your child's conference. :)

Here's a song we learned in Music with Mr. Oehrtmann!

We had a blast on Global Play Day!

Our new friend from the Cromwell Center helped us learn about accepting differences!

No one seems to recognize these items that have been in the
classroom most of the winter...do they look familiar? :)

Next week:

Monday: Eagle News/Take Home Reading Folders are due; green homework folder/menu due; Reading Incentive chart is due. *PLEASE put your child's name and total minutes on the sheet. :)
Thanks!

Monday is also Sharing Day!

Thursday: Library books are due.

Friday: Book orders go home; due 3/12

Looking ahead:

No school Friday, March 13-Teacher Workshop Day

First Grade Spring Concert: Monday, March 23, 6:30 PM

Have a great weekend!  I am planning to clean out a couple of closets, host my theater group's monthly meeting, and spend some time here at school getting ready for a new month together!  I hope you have some time to unwind and enjoy family :)
